Rachel Zoe Box of Style Winter 2016 Review

The Rachel Zoe Box of Style is a subscription box curated by The Zoe Report. For $100 a quarter, they'll hook you up with some of the most luxe must-haves for the season. As a subscriber you get to customize your box to your liking. I was able to get this box at the $69.99 Black Friday price.

Nima Oberoi Antler Jewelry Holder $65

This was the free ring dish that I snagged on Black Friday. I love Nima Oberoi products, they are always so well designed, on-trend, and gorgeous. I don't think I have enough jewelry for this piece, so I honestly think I'm going to just use it for decoration! I don't think I would have ever purchased this on my own (especially for $65!) but it makes a wonderful addition to the box. I also love that this free gift *almost* completely covers the cost of the box.

This season's big "scandal" was that the box was white for the first time in RZ's history. As far as I know, these boxes have always been black, and I am loving this change. I put my box on display in my closet-it is much too nice to throw away! It has a magnetic closure, an almost leather texture, and silver foiled print.

Viva La Juicy Parfum 0.17 oz $7.40

This season's special extra is a sponsored item from Juicy Couture. Each box includes a Viva La Juicy mini perfume bottle. I love to display these on my vanity, so this is a perfect bonus for me.

Dagne Dover Leather Card Case $50

This might be my favorite find in the entire box! This little card carrier has two slots, but because each slot is so roomy, you can easily fit two or three cards in each slot. I'm very much a lover of tiny purses and wallets, so this season is my dream come true (See: Popsugar's Limited Edition Box). You can carry credit cards, business cards, or rewards cards in these little cases- they're super handy!  Especially if all your bags are unorganized like mine are, these can make it easier to find the cards you're looking for faster!

I already want to buy more of these; they are so well made and would make good practical gifts for the person who has everything. You really don't realize you need these in your life until you have them, then you can't live without them!

Soia & Kyo Olivia Cable Knit Hat $50

Each subscriber got to choose what color hat they wanted, I chose gray as well as a wine red in my second box. They both look great, but I think I'm going to end up keeping the gray. It just goes with more of my wardrobe. I don't normally wear beanies, but I love the detail on this one so much, I think I'm going to have to try!

Everything comes packaged so nicely. They really know how to make a girl feel special.

This next product has a cult following. Personally, I've used a few Sunday Riley products, and although they may do wonders for some, I can never use them long enough to see results. To me, the smell of these products are really off-putting. So this will be going to a good home with someone who can give it the love it deserves.

Dylanlex Zoe Necklace $200

This necklace was the hero item this season and it is absolutely gorgeous. I love that it can be worn as a choker as well. I cannot wait to wear it to a party or two this year! I'm not sure that I would ever pay $200 for a necklace like this, but that is why I love subscribing to these luxe boxes!

D.L. & CO. Birch Candle $50

This candle smells just like the holidays. It is also probably the heaviest candle I have ever owned. I think it would make a nice hostess gift, if you're fine with them knowing you got their gift from a subscription box. Unfortunately if you like this scent, it was an exclusive collaboration between D.L & CO. and TZR, so you may not be able to get this exact candle again.

I love the clear part at the bottom that makes it look like the candle is floating at certain angles.

Clinique Lip Color & Primer in Berry Pop $18.50

This is a matte berry lipstick perfect for the holidays. My only complaint is that it smudges really easily and can become pretty patchy. I was surprised to see Clinique in a box that is supposed to be on the cutting edge of fashion and beauty. I associate this brand with older women and teenagers buying their first skincare regimens. So it was a shock to see it here. I anticipated a brand like Kevyn Aucoin or Anastasia Beverly Hills, but no such luck.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $440, which I am extremely happy about, especially because I was able to buy this box with a coupon. For me it's like I paid $9 or $10 for each item, which is a great deal. 10 out of 10 stars, would recommend to a friend.
