Influenster was kind enough to send me this product to review. If you're interested in reviewing products through influenster, use this link to let them know we referred you. This is the L'Oreal EverPure 6 in 1 Cleansing Balm for colored hair (It is sulfate, silicone, dye, paraben, salt, and animal by-product free! It's also completely vegan.) It retails for anywhere from $9.99 at Target to $11.99 on Amazon. (See our YouTube review if you like watching more than reading.)
If you're not familiar, a cleansing conditioner is a conditioner that has some added cleansing properties, so it is often used in the place of shampoo. We have tried several cleansing conditioners, and this one was in many ways, just as good as the higher-end brands. In addition to being a two-in-one product, this balm promises to replace six other products in your hair regimen (shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, detangler, softener, and a shining product like an oil or serum). The instructions say to leave it in your hair for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it out.
This is the amount of product you get with one pump, and the suggested amount for one wash is 6 to 8 pumps (but more if your hair is longer.) This product does not lather, so you will need quite a bit to wash all of your hair. The smell is a little off-putting to me, so I would definitely swing by Target and smell it first if you can. Also if you have oily hair like I do, I would only use this product on the ends of your hair and use a normal shampoo on your roots if you want to avoid looking like a butterball turkey a few hours after washing your hair.
Pro-tip: This is not a normal twist-until-it-pops-up pump. It's an open-and-close twist pump (like the ones seen on Windex bottles or spray versions of sunscreen.) So don't be like me and twist for 20 minutes. Be smart. Twist it once, it will open. (I'm honestly not really sure why this type of pump is necessary, though. Is this product not safe for kids? It is there so you can close it when someone else uses the shower? Maybe it's good for traveling? This is just such a big bottle (17 oz) I don't think I would take the whole thing on a trip.)
Verdict: This definitely repaired damage, added shine, and left my hair feeling weightless. The only thing is it repaired so much that I lost a little bit of volume on top. I'm going to get a lot of good use of it, and I'm glad I got the chance to try it, I don't think I would have otherwise.
